The Mansion is located in Latisana, a small town on the banks of the Tagliamento river, in Northern East Italy, just in the middle between Venice and Trieste (50 miles from both cities), close to the seaside, the hills and the Alps.
Famous American writer Ernest Hemingway was very fond of this environment, and this very view (from the Mansion's Solarium) inspired some of the pages of his acclaimed novel "Across the River and Into the Trees", first published in 1950.
The building stands in Piazza Garibaldi, one of the central squares: it shows a long and elegant façade, with an imposing original portal, a three window terrace with ironwork, and the crest of the Morossi family, the local notables who inhabited it until recent years.
It dates back to the 18th century, with various transformations along the centuries, until the most recent restoration both structural and internal, in 1980, by the current owner.
